Photo bank for the Sibur holding
SIBUR Holding is one of the most significant enterprises in the Russian Federation in the oil, gas, and chemical industries.
One of the main enterprises of the holding is Joint Stock Company Sibur-Khimprom. The unique expandable polystyrene foam is produced in large volumes only in Perm. In addition to expanded polystyrene, several key products for the industry are made here. For example, the simplest alkene — ethylene, butanol, and the colorless gas — propylene. The plant in Perm is one of the leading companies of the petrochemical sector. In the structure of the company, Sibur-Khimprom is part of the Directorate for Plastics, Elastomers, and Organic Synthesis. The city-forming role of the company in the region is determined by its environmental, educational, and social programs.
The studio has already taken photographs of SIBUR holding companies. The photography took place at the enterprises of the petrochemical holding in Noyabrsk, in Chaikovsky, and the Ust-Luga seaport. Also, the Line Artworks Studio team performed industrial photography of the production process for Sibur-PET division.
In April 2021, we set about updating the photo bank for another company that is part of the holding. The Studio team went to Perm for industrial photography of Sibur KhimProm facilities. For two days, we took photographs of production, warehouses, and employees of the enterprise.
We took photos of the production infrastructure and logistics hubs. For example, we photographed plate heat exchangers, i.e., heating devices where heat is transferred through the walls of plates made of various metals and alloys.
Photographers of the Studio focused on the elements of enterprise digitalization. Intelligent video analytic systems are installed in the workshops, which allow monitoring product quality, production processes, and help avoid emergencies. We replenished the photo bank with photos of the production control center and individual IoT elements.
We photographed employees of the enterprise — made photo portraits and posed photographs of specialists in industrial interiors. Now the company’s photo bank is replenished with portraits of both experienced professionals and young workers. The holding develops educational programs for graduates of specialized universities, holds competitions and training courses for high school students. So, the company has many promising employees at the very start of their careers.
We photographed the company’s products. Sibur KhimProm makes ALPHAPOR branded polystyrene — the first Russian polystyrene of European quality. It is used to make thermal insulation for construction, polystyrene foam blocks, and packaging. ALPHAPOR expandable polystyrene is mad only at the SIBUR plant in Perm.
The photographs, after processing by the Studio’s retouchers, were made available to the SIBUR holding to replenish the company’s photo bank. They will be used on websites and for printed materials of the holding.
