Photography of the products of the Chelyabinsk Pipe Rolling Plant
The ChTPZ industrial group is the leader not only in Russia but also in the world of pipe rolling. ChTPZ Group occupies a quarter of the country’s pipe market and is in the top ten pipe manufacturers in the world.
Although the name of the industrial group stands for “Chelyabinsk Pipe Rolling Plant”, it also includes the Pervouralsk New Pipe Plant, the Rimera oilfield service range, and the Izhevsk Oil Engineering Plant. The latter two make pipes for the oil-and-gas industry. Both pipe-rolling plants of the group — the Chelyabinsk and the Pervouralsk ones — are in the G8 of the country’s pipe plants. However, the main part in the G8 is taken by the enterprises of another Line Artworks client, TMK.
ChTPZ Group has already ordered from the studio the design of process catalog for all pipe products of the group. This time, the company contacted the studio for image-building photography of its products. The future photo bank was planned to be used for presentation materials, process catalogs, and for the website of the industrial group.
Photography of tubular products was done in a specially prepared workshop at the Pervouralsk New Pipe Plant in Pervouralsk, Sverdlovsk Region, and lasted for two days. Art director of the studio, Sergey Tatarskikh, decided to photograph technical products in a way that no one has used before. For this purpose, with the help of the plant’s employees and cranes, four 3-D installations were made of pipes of various diameters and purpose.
The installations were placed in a separate workshop and photographed from various angles and sides. This resulted in stylish photographs with easily recognizable pipe products, which subsequently were used for image-building and presentation materials of ChTPZ Group of companies.
