Making posters for the Polymetal Company
Polymetal has been operating in the Russian and international mining and gold mining markets since 1998.
The geography of the company operation includes Amursk POX, Albazino, Mayskoye, Dukat hub, Omolon hub, Svetloye, Varvara hub, and Vorontsovskoye. The company’s strategy includes the following principles: constant payment of high dividends, constant growth without sacrificing quality, exemplary ESG indicators. Line Artworks Studio has been cooperating productively with Polymetal for several years. During this time, we performed a large-scale image-building photo session for the company. We photographed the company’s facilities in the Khabarovsk Territory for seven days. We also prepared a quarterly calendar for Polymetal: we developed the concept, drew and printed it. The calendar brought to life the idea of reflecting all stages of production, from mining to making an ingot, in a single collage.
In 2021, we successfully implemented another project for Polymetal: production of health and safety posters. The main purpose of the posters was to reduce the number of injuries. We took care of all stages of production, from concept development to preparation of materials for printing. Security Service of the company shared with us technical description of production risks and we got down to the business.
The studio is convinced that when making safety posters; it is important to avoid formulaic phrases, clericalism, and hackneyed tricks. It is not enough to hang a regulation on the board. Hardly anyone except for the most responsible employees would read such information. On the contrary, a brightly made campaign poster will definitely attract attention, influence the observance of safety rules and, possibly, save someone’s life.
The art director, a designer, and two illustrators worked on the concept of the project, on the plot of the posters, and on the illustrations. To achieve the desired effect, several options were prepared, and then the best one was chosen. As a result, the illustrations turned out to be interesting and intelligible. The value of the posters we made is that they can improve safety at the workplace.
