Photographing young female specialists from Zimbabwe to showcase how the company promotes gender diversity in heavy industry.
All the girls in the photos are real employees of Global Aluminium, not a single model.
The company pays great attention to gender diversity in heavy industry. According to them, women’s work contributes to business development at all levels.
The photoshoot took place in the United Arab Emirates, in Dubai, at the Emirates Global Aluminium Jebel Ali production facility.
Here, we deliberately moved away from shots of the production process. It was important to show that working in heavy industry is not just a man’s job, where everything is in “dust, oil, and shavings.” Each woman with a set of skills can work in such production.
Mentorship is an important theme of the photoshoot: experienced mentors work with new employees from Zimbabwe. They fully immerse women in the production process, demonstrating the company’s commitment to new specialists.
We maintained the overall style of Emirates Global Aluminium photos to stay consistent with the recognizable branding. However, the photographer infused the project with their artistic perspective, making the photos more vivid and emotional.
